on IPR Protection 2007 To give a comprehensive, systematic and substantive outline of China's measures for IPR protection in 2007, to effectively dictate nationwide IPR protection efforts and to follow guidelines of the National Working Group for IPR Protection, member agencies of the Working Group Office are pleased to present this Action Plan on IPR Protection for 2007, which details 276 measures in 10 areas. In line with the 2007 Action Plan, relevant authorities will draft, formulate and revise 14 laws, regulations, rules and administrative measures on trademark, copyright, patent and customs protection as well as 7 judicial interpretations and guidelines. On the enforcement side, 14 dedicated campaigns including Fight Piracy Every Day, crackdown on pirated textbooks and teaching supplements and Operation Blue-sky, coupled with 11 standing enforcement programs will be carried out. With regard to trails, 8 measures will be in place to keep self-innovation and IPR inventiveness alive. With regard to institutional building, 8 areas of efforts involving 46 measures will follow to establish a highly potent enforcement coordination mechanism and to improve and standardize the functions of the IPR Service Centers. 74 publicity measures in 8 forms such as large promotion events, media programming and press conferences will continue. 36 training measures in the forms of reading materials, training courses and workshops will target party and government leaderships, grass-rote enforcement agents, corporate and non-corporate organizations, lawmakers as well as university, middle and primary school students. In international exchange and partnership programs, 26 measures such as dialogues, study visits, exchanges and training cooperation will be implemented to further engage China in international activities of trademark, copyright and patent protection. To advance IPR protection at the business level, 9 measures such as building a business priority watch-directory in the public security system and formulating Opinions on Strengthening IPR Protection in Large State-owned Enterprises will be introduced. In addition, 8 measures will be at the service of right-holders, including a regular meeting mechanism to consult and coordinate with foreign-invested enterprises, and a hotline and online platform for overseas IPR disputes. Last but certainly not the least, 23 thematic studies on IPR protection will be organized.

I was just informed of a failure in the advanced interpretation test this march. I have never thought of that kind of thing would happen on me, since so many of my friends gained that certification with ease. The test looked so easy, but now I realized I was wrong. Or in other words, I still have a long way to go.
I have been in a bad mood since heard the unpleasant news, until this morning I read a signature of one of my best friend, ximing, who passed the test last march, that “one excels only through diligence”. He seems to know why I failed. I didn’t pay much attention on that, frankly. I just thought that test to be an easy one.
But after a serious consideration of his words, something sparked. No matter what our goal is, there is sure to be two results, success or failure, be or not be. Isn’t there any other thing to remind? Sure there is something much more valuable. The whole progress of achieving and realizing your dream. Being diligence is an attitude stuff. Nobody really needs any certifications to promise himself a bright future. But attitude itself is a label of everyone, which suggests everything of yourself. The attitude itself is also an important thing to pursuit.
More even, “ one needs to be diligent, no matter what the result comes out to be and whether he excels or not.”

The Global Language Monitor, a non-profit group that monitors word use, put those two expressions at the top of its annual list of Hollywood words and phrases for the impact they made on the English language.
In second place was a Hollywood star trend of giving babies unusual names like Suri, the name of the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Shiloh Nouvel, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Ivy League is the name generally applied to eight universities (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale) that over the years have had common interests in scholarship as well as in athletics. Stanley Woodward, New York Herald Tribune sports writer, coined the phrase in the early thirties.
In 1936 the undergraduate newspapers of these universities simultaneously ran an editorial advocating the formation of an ``Ivy League,'' but the first move toward this end was not taken until 1945. In that year, the eight presidents entered into an agreement ``for the purpose of reaffirming their intention of continuing intercollegiate football in such a way as to maintain the values of the game, while keeping it in fitting proportion to the main purposes of academic life.'' To achieve this objective two inter-university committees were appointed: one, made up primarily of the college deans, was to administer rules of eligibility; the other, composed of the athletic directors, was to establish policies on the length of the playing season and of preseason practice, operating budgets, and related matters. Two other inter-university committees on admission and financial aid were added later.
As President Dodds pointed out at the time, the general principles agreed on by the eight universities were essentially the same as those set forth in the Harvard-Yale-Princeton Presidents' Agreement of 1916 .
The first step toward organizing full league competition came in 1952 with the announcement that, beginning with the fall of 1953, each college would play every other college in the group at least once every five years. This plan was superseded in 1954 when the presidents announced the adoption of a yearly round-robin schedule in football, starting in 1956, and approved the principle of similar schedules in ``as many sports as practicable.''
Thereafter, the Ivy Group (as the league was called in the Presidents' Agreement of 1954) established schedules in other sports, including some in existing leagues with non-Ivy members. As of 1977, the Ivy League colleges competed, round-robin, in football, soccer, basketball, and, with certain variations as noted, in baseball (also Army and Navy), fencing (except Brown and Dartmouth), ice hockey (except Columbia), squash (except Brown, Columbia, and Cornell), swimming (except Columbia, but also Army and Navy), tennis (also Army and Navy), and wrestling (except Brown and Dartmouth). Ivy championships in cross-country and track were determined at the annual Heptagonal Meets, in golf at an Ivy championship tournament, and in rowing at the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges Regatta.
The mid-seventies brought the inclusion of women's teams in the Ivy League program with the institution of championship tournaments in basketball and ice hockey, and a move toward round-robin competition in field hockey, lacrosse, and other sports.
Other instances of increasing formalization of the Ivy League occurred in the seventies -- two of them involving Princetonians.
Since 1971, the Bushnell Cup has been awarded to the Ivy football player of the year, who is selected by vote of the eight coaches. This trophy, presented to the Ivy League by the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials, was named in honor of Asa S. Bushnell '21, the first commissioner of the Eastern College Athletic Conference, in appreciation of ``his great contribution to the advancement of college athletics.''
In 1973, to provide greater coordination of the athletic interests of the eight universities, the post of executive director of the Council of Ivy League Presidents was created, and Ricardo A. Mestres '31, financial vice-president and treasurer of the University, emeritus, was elected first incumbent. Mestres served in this post until 1976, when he was succeeded by James M. Litvack, visiting lecturer in economics and public affairs in the University.

i don't know why, in the past week,i was asked to be a host for that many times.i played the host for a electronic competition in the university which was sponsored by AMD for one time,and at the same day for a lecture on interpretation.then i was, (i am,actually,) thinking about one question that am i a good host?i feel rather strange when standing in front of a lot a people because i cannot help wondering what is going on on the stage rather than the front of the stage. i am the kind of guy like to proform or to watch other's proforming,but in my opinion, host is the kind of job to give other people a chance to proform but cannot see what he is doing.well, maybe you are confused with what i am writing.

autumn outing

last sunday, we went to hongshan forest zoo for an autumn outing.we enjoyed ourselves much, saw a lot of lovely animals there,which just can be suggested by the picture on the left. but it was
so funny that the most interesting and fun part of our short staying in the zoo was the time, believe it or not, when we were playing cards and chating on the ground. then what we went that far to the damn zoo for?anyway,i am not the monitor.i donot care about that, i enjoyed myself. :) and the most important is, well, i realise my promise that i update this blog.

'cause the hongkong pop female singer Rong Zuer's english name is joey,too.

but that is really an accident. :)
i really named myself with a pop singer's name,but he was a "he",not a "she".
you may have heard of the boy group "N'sync" which was quite popular in the late 90s,

Well, it is my frist time writing something here on this blog. Though it is not my frist time writing a blog , I am still worrying . I am not a very lazy guy, but am really said to be the last one to write his own blog by all of my friends. On this frist article, I must express my appreciation to someone who helped me to make the great decision on doing this, Linda, thank you.But I cannot promise to keep is, well, kind of interet or career or something, going on. Sometimes this can be very hard. Anyway, even though I donot let it going on, I think I can still benefit from it, since my visitors may say something here to me. Don’t you think it a cool thing?
This semester could be the hardest one. I am now in the busiest period ever since. My visitors, you could be my power source. Every word you write here, however, will have a magic effect on me. So, haha, I cannot wait for it. Let us just enjoy the fun!
